Jelena Jovica, MD, graduated from the School of Medicine University of Zagreb in 2013. She completed her internship in the Community health center in Zagreb.

After passing the medical state exam, she worked as a physician in the Emergency Medicine team at the Department of emergency medicine of Koprivničko-Križevačka County from 2014 – 2017. During that period, under the mentorship of Doc. Dr. sc. Romana Dmitrović from BetaPlus Center, dr. Jovica published a paper “Comparison of the influence of different ovulation induction protocols on cumulative pregnancy rates in an IVF/ET program” as the first author in the journal Gynaecologia et Perinatologia.

Since her student days, she wanted to become a gynecologist, and she started 2017 a specialist postgraduate study in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Community health center „Dr. Ivo Pedišić” Sisak. She finished her specialist internship in the same hospital and at University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Petrova. In January 2023 she passed the Specialty Exam at University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Petrova. She currently works as a gynecologist in the Community health center „Dr. Ivo Pedišić”.
