Dr. Martina Bračun is a specialist of gynecology and obstetrics and, since 2018, infertility specialist. During her residency in gynecology at Petrova Hospital in Zagreb she has also completed postgraduate studies in Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics at “Sveti Duh” Clinical Hospital. She completed her residency in gynecology and obstetrics in Zabok General Hospital where she acquired her initial clinical experience. When beginning with her infertility studies, Dr. Bračun spent some time at the Department of Reproductive Medicine of the Gent Clinical Hospital in Belgium (supervisor: Prof. Petra de Sutter) which is considered to be one of the leading IVF centers in Europe. After her doctoral studies she plans to do a postgraduate doctoral study at Zagreb School of medicine, as well.

In addition, she has completed several courses both home and abroad. The most prominent ones include:

Assisted Human Reproduction – Clinical and Laboratory Aspects organized by European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology’s (ESHRE);

Croatian Postgraduate Course of Gynecology Surgery and Endoscopy with International Participation organized by Croatian Gynecology Endoscopy Society and University of Zagreb’s School of Medicine;

Modern Contraception in the Modern World organized by European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC);

Practical Use of 3D Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics organized by international Academy of Medical Ultrasound (iAMU).

Dr. Bračun’s specific areas of interest are reproductive medicine and minimally invasive surgical procedures in gynecology (hysteroscopy and laparoscopy). She has shown additional interest in 2D/3D/4D ultrasound diagnostics and participates in expert meetings in gynecology and obstetrics. She has co-authored several scientific articles and chapters on minimally invasive gynecology surgery and has helped organized several congresses and 1st category courses in gynecology endoscopy with international participation.
