Ivana Erceg Ivkošić, M.D., Ph.D., is an ob/gyn who graduated from the University of Split School of Medicine. She conducted her postdoctoral work in the Genetics and Developmental Biology Laboratory at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut, USA from 1998 until 2000, and completed her doctoral thesis (2000-2003) at Split School of Medicine. Since 2013 she has been a scientific associate in the area of biomedicine and general health with her specific field being in clinical medical science. During her residency, which had begun in 2003, she has completed her postgraduate studies in ultrasound, a course in colposcopy and a course in laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Erceg Ivkošić cis an infertility specialist in 2015. Fifteen out of more than fifty of her published scientific papers have been indexed in the Current Content (CC). She has participated in numerous conferences, seven scientific projects (six of which were international) and is the author of many abstracts, 22 being from international conferences. She has co-authored four scientific books in medicine, the last one being on infertility diagnostics, and is the author of three books of abstacts from three international conferences on genetics. Dr Erceg Ivkošić is a reviewer in Gene and Acta Clinica Croatica scientific publications.
She lectures and heads the practical work at 1st category postgraduate course of Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Zagreb’s “Sveti Duh” Clinical Hospital. Her participation in graduate program of studies at University of Zagreb School of Medicine has been continuous.
Dr Ivana Erceg Ivkošić is a member of all relevant professional societies both at home and abroad. She speaks English and French fluently. She participates as a permanent associate at popular scientific magazines, TV shows and various web portals. She conducts childbirth education classes at “Sveti Duh” Clinical Hospital on a regular basis.
